Delegate, Focus, and GROW Your Business

Four Ds

Have you ever heard the question, “what would you do if you had all the money in the world?”  It is supposed to help you find your passion.  Many people are asked this question when they are looking for a job or wanting a career change.  If you would spend your time rehabbing houses, you might want to consider a career in housing development, et cetera, et cetera.

Take the question a little further, “what task would you focus on at work if you had no other distractions or tasks?”  Would it be marketing?  Is sales your favorite? Are numbers and accounting your forte?  Imagine being able to pick your favorite thing to do and delegate the rest to an assistant.

Wouldn’t that be fabulous?  Maybe you just want to be able to focus on business development while someone works in the wings completing all of the other tasks for you.  Think back to the last time you were able to devote all your time and energy to one specific task.  It was probably well-thought out, completed on time, and brought about excellent results.

When you hire a Virtual Assistant from Contemporary Virtual Assistance, you can decide what you want to devote yourself to and give the remainder of the work to your assistant.  You can build your business while your assistant does the work to keep it running.  Just let your mind wander to how you can bring about growth when someone else is handling “the grunt work”.  As an assistant, your business is just as important to me as it is to you.  We are a team and that team needs to run like a well-oiled machine if it is to succeed.  That success is vital to us both.

Success is brought about by knowing one’s strengths and catering to those strengths.  Your focus should be on your strengths and how they grow your business. Your Virtual Assistant’s strengths are to keep your name and company strong by allowing you the opportunity to do what you do best.  As a team, we all play to our strengths to achieve the desired outcome – winning.

So, decide, delegate, devote, desired result.  Those four Ds should be your mantra.  Take advantage of the opportunity to decide what is your forte, what builds your business, and what you enjoy.  Delegate all of the other tasks to a capable Virtual Assistant whose goal is to help you succeed.  Devote yourself to your strengths and achieve your desired result.  You will have a dedicated team member on whom you can rely and you can enjoy your job again all while making it successful.
