Delegate, Focus, and GROW Your Business

In Thanks

Thanksgiving is upon us and I feel very grateful for all that has been bestowed upon me.  I am thankful for my family and friends and our health and happiness.  I am truly thankful for the opportunity to work from my private office dedicating myself to my clients doing what I truly love.  It just doesn’t get much better than that.

Just last week, one of my clients told me to “go ahead with it, do whatever you want”.  I felt very excited, not to mention, flattered.  This is everything for which I had worked.  I have always imagined being able to “just go crazy” and “make it happen”.  I was ready to roll.  I had no limits; although, my focus is always my clients’ best interests.  Here, though, I could really use my knowledge, skill set, and creativity to make things happen for my client.  I was more than ready to take the reins and run.  My mind was racing with all the ideas that I was just waiting to let free.  I went to work with no limits.

My husband came home to find me working the computer keys relentlessly.  I could barely speak to him because I was so enthralled with the work at hand.  My mind was working faster than my fingers and I did not want to stop.  “Just a minute, I’ll be right there,”  I said and went back to frantically typing, googling, tweeting, marketing, writing, and dialing.  I was out of control in a controlled situation.

Finally things began to settle.  I had contacted everyone that I needed to contact, I had marketed, talked, tweeted, schmoozed, dazzled, and SOLD.   I was on fire and I had been given the go-ahead by my client.  I felt like I was flinging my fingers on the trading floor.  I knew, I truly knew, that this was a trade that was going to pay off. I was exhausted and exhilarated.

I finally made my way into the kitchen to greet my husband and ask about his day.  He had had a good day and he was happy to be home.  I; likewise, had had a good day.  I told him about my client and what he had said.  My husband said, ” what a lucky client”. I nearly spit out my teeth.  I had no idea what he meant.  I thought I was the lucky one.  (And I am).

My husband said that to have an administrative assistant that you trust so much to say, “do whatever you want” is a rarity.  What a great trust and relationship that you must have to fully hand over part of your business and say “go with it”.  What a stress reliever that must be.  Wow.  I had not thought of it that way.  I was thrilled to have the trust and the “go ahead” to do what I love to do.  I had not thought that I had given my client the peace of mind to trust me to run with an idea to make his business grow.

I have always believed in the service that the Virtual Assistants of Contemporary Virtual Assistance can offer.  I now, from a manager’s point of view, am able to fully understand the benefits that enable the success of a business.  My husband saw the cause and effect from his managerial point of view which allowed me to see that my excitement not only inflates my ego, but inflates my clients’ businesses.  There is nothing more satisfactory than seeing the results of your hard work.  Hiring a Contemporary Virtual Assistance VA will allow you to see results. Don’t delay, call today and enjoy your Holidays.
