Delegate, Focus, and GROW Your Business

Please Don’t Say “Think Outside the Box”

“Think outside the box” is, in my opinion, the most cliche, overused, annoying term in the business world.  Don’t misunderstand, I grasp the concept – I just can’t stand hearing the term over and over again.  Really, if you are thinking outside the box, can’t you think of any other terms to express the idea?  Why not think outside the box and consult a thesaurus?

Don’t limit yourself, look at the big picture, don’t get stuck in a rut, use your imagination, brainstorm, be open to new and different ideas, keep your options open, don’t be closeminded, reinvent yourself, re-evaluate the situation and create new, innovative ways to make it better, don’t be squelched by what people have done before you.  Wow, look how many ways I just said the same thing.  Amazing what you can come up with when you just let your mind wander.  Think about what you want to say and say it 12 different ways.  Think about what you want to do and come up with 12 different solutions.  Think about 12 different things you need accomplished and ask yourself, “how can I do get all these things done?”  You would be surprised at the vast options if you just let yourself look at the possibilities.

So what’s my point?  Well, what do you need to accomplish today, tomorrow, next month, by the end of the fiscal year?  How are you going to get everything done?  Hire a Virtual Assistant from Contemporary Virtual Assistance.  I know you are thinking, “there’s more than just paperwork  and social media marketing that I need finished.”  What?  What else do you need?  Do you need someone to send out a newsletter, corporate Holiday cards, do you need shopping done?  Yes, we even shop.

Ask what your VA can do for you.  We do try to anticipate needs and offer solutions; however, there are things that you may think of that we have not.  Ask us.  You’d be surprised at what a VA can offer to you professionally and personally.  Should you need gift baskets for contemporaries and clients – tell us what you want, how much you want to spend, and who you want to receive them.  We’ll do it.  You just moved your office?  Tell us your new address, we’ll change it in all your sites and send out to your entire contact list.  Do you need an office party planned – give us the dates and budget and consider it done.

Basically, think outside th…whoops!  I mean, think of all the different things that you have to accomplish and let us take these on for you.  We are here to make your life (all aspects of your life) easier.  Just list your needs and wants and then ask.  You might be pleasantly surprised at how a VA can make you feel less “boxed in”.
