Today’s Virtual Environment

My husband has an iPhone. My husband loves his iPhone. My husband is never without his iPhone.

I detest the iPhone.

We went out for his birthday the other day. I almost had a moment of sheer excitement as he was getting out of the truck without his phone. My excitement was short lived; he had the phone in his hand before the door was shut. Sigh.

Upon noticing my disappointment, he said, “Look, I’m turning it off”. I was happy. I was going to enjoy a nice dinner with my husband.  Wrong!

Right in the middle of some conversation, he shifts in his seat and pulls out his phone. “Hello?”

Apparently he thinks my issue is with the ringtone.

Computer services, cellular devices, even laptops, have made it possible for us to reach every corner of the world. Instantly. Pleasure, Education, Communication even Business can be done utilizing these devices and services.

With a profession as a Virtual Assistant, I sometimes find myself a bit shameful as I silently curse the technology that grants me a paycheck. I am after all, still a woman. Sadly, I am jealous of a phone.

I need to remind myself, often, of the benefits our generation reaps. Before the age of technology, a business owner needed to employ several employees to handle all the different facets of their company. This creates all the additional expense of workmen’s comp, unemployment taxes, government taxes, payroll contributions and much more.

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to have one fixed cost for employee expense?

Now, the ability to have a competent, reliable and professional staff is just a click away; without all the additional costs. A Business owner can utilize a vast roster of assistants without having to provide a facility and individual workspaces. An endless supply of skill and knowledge is within your reach, virtually, to expand and grow your business. From data entry to blog writing, Contemporary VA has the right virtual administrative assistant for you.

Senior virtual assistants with expertise in specific areas such as Social Media Marketing, Medical Transcriptionists, Bookkeeping or Paralegal are available on an as needed basis to assure that you have all of the skill sets you need. Web development and Web design work can be done by our Technical Team and are available to usher your business to another level. Worried about the time required to manage all of the staff that we provide? We also take care of that issue with our Project Management Services. One point of contact, one general manager, and yet a whole staff to fulfill your needs. Communication is instant with email, cell phones and instant messing. Visuals are possible with online meetings and computer to computer interaction.

Side by side working relationships have taken on a whole new path with the latest developments in technology. It’s just like being in the same room, only different.
