Featured Weekend Reading (02/18/2011)

spring time is coming

Woo Hoo its finally Friday again. This has been a busy week but the weekend is finally here. The weather has been beautiful most of the week and for the first week in a long time there was no snow. I cant wait to enjoy the weekend.

It finally feels like Spring is on its way. So whether you are out enjoying the sunshine this weekend, doing some yard work or maybe even some spring cleaning, we hope you will take time to relax and enjoy the great posts we picked for you this week. Here are just a few:

  • How to Navigate Through Uncertain Times- With the uncertain times of the economy and all the talk of recession it can be hard to know which direction to take your business in. Do you make that leap of faith on something you have dreamed of or do you hold off until its more stable. Be sure to check out Susan’s blog on some great tips on navigating through uncertain times.
  • Get Yourself Back to Basics – In today’s world, we are known for a great deal of conformity, and doing what everyone else is doing. But wouldn’t it be great to dance to your own drum and do what makes you happy? Instead of following along with everyone else? Be sure to read Empowering Mum’s blog for some great tips on getting back to the basics and making yourself happy.
  • Using Humor on Stage- When you speak does your audience laugh along with you? Or are they fighting the urge to fall out of their chairs asleep? Every good speaker needs to use a bit of humor in their speeches. Be sure to read Celia’s blog for some great tips on using humor on stage.
  • Choosing Time for What Matters Most- In this fast paced world, it is easy to lose focus on what  is the most important to us. We have jobs, meeting, appointments, and just everyday life duties. Its hard to have enough time and energy for everything. Be sure to read Peter’s blog for some great tips on choosing the time for what matters most.
  • Setting Guidelines for Clients- Getting a new client can be a bit overwhelming at first. You can be really eager to please them and go out of your way to do everything they need. Which isnt a bad thing but be sure to read Yvonne’s blog for some great tips and reasons why it’s important to set guidelines.

That’s all for this week, what big Spring time plans do you have? We would love to know so please leave us a comment in the comments section. Have a great weekend and be sure to visit Contemporary VA’s Stumble Upon Blog for even more featured posts.
