Featured Weekend Reading (12/09/2011)

boom

Woo hoo it is finally Friday! Can you believe that in just 22 days that this year will be over? Or that in about two weeks it will be Christmas? We have all been super busy at CVA getting ourselves and our clients ready for the New Year. But right now it’s time to put those feet up and relax and get this weekend started.

Whether you are out fighting the crowds Christmas shopping, attending family get together or fighting with the lights again this year, we hope you will take time out to read some of the great posts we have chosen for you this week. Here are just a few:

  • Become a Magnet for Referrals- One of the best and most effective ways to grow your business is through word of mouth. Friends and family tend to listen to the recommendations from others they trust. So how do you get them talking about you? Check out Susan’s blog to learn how to become a magnet for referrals.
  • What Gift Are You Giving Yourself This Year? – We all know that building your list is one of the most important aspects of your buildings. With no list, you have no customers, and with no customers you have no business right? Often business owners entice customers to opt in by offering free gifts. But are you offering the wrong stuff? Be sure to check out Karen’s blog to learn more about opt ins and the right things to give away.
  • Write Your Way Out of Trouble- We all experience bad things in life from time to time. The important thing is how you to these things. You have a secret weapon to overcoming these obstacles in your ability to write. These are proven ways to effectively and naturally reduce your stress level. Be sure to check out Lynne’s blog for great tips on writing your way out of trouble and reducing your stress level.

That’s all for this week. All of us here at CVA wish you a great weekend. See you next week with more great posts and Happy Friday. What holiday traditions do you have?  We’d love to hear about it!  Leave us a comment in the comments section. See you next week and be sure to visit Contemporary VA’s Stumble Upon Blog for even more featured posts.
