Delegate, Focus, and GROW Your Business

Featured Weekend Reading (12/16/2011)

A Night in Christmastown

Its that time again, that’s right folks its Friday! It has been a crazy busy week for us all and I can sum it up in four letters, TGIF! Can you believe that next weekend is Christmas?? We all have so much to do and so little time to do it in. But right now its time to sit back, grab a cup of eggnog and get this weekend started.

Whether you have early family holiday plans, finishing up the last bit of shopping, or spending time with family and friends, we hope you will take some time out to read the great posts we have chosen for you this week. Here are just a few:

  • Clear Your Clutter, Make More Money- Do you have a neat, beautiful, well-laid out off or is it a disaster? Do you have papers everywhere and are unorganized? Did you know that can actually hurt your business? Be sure to check out Sheree’s blog for some great clutter cleaning tips for the new year.
  • Why You Should Never Write Like You Talk- We all know how some people give you advice whether you want it or not, has anyone ever told you that you should write how you talk? That could be some of the worst advice you have ever received if so. Most everyone can communicate with words but the problem is most people cannot do it effectively. Be sure to check out Taylor’s blog to learn more about why you should never speak how you talk.
  • Find Time for You in the Festive Chaos– The hustle, bustle and chaos of the holidays are upon us. The shopping, the wrapping, the cooking, the cleaning, the traveling can wear you down fast. But you should still take time out for the most important person…you. Be sure to check out Empowering Mum’s blog to learn great ways to take time out for you.
  • Major Changes Come to Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube- We are all used to Facebook making changes, seems like every other week that something is new that someone is fussing about. But Twitter and Youtube also made huge changes to their interface’s this week. Be sure to check out InsideOut’s blog to say in the know to the new changes.

That’s all for this week. All of us here at CVA wish you a great weekend . See you next week with more great posts and Happy Friday. What holiday traditions does your family have? We’d love to hear about it!  Leave us a comment in the comments section. See you next week and be sure to visit Contemporary VA’s Stumble Upon Blog for even more featured posts.
