Featured Weekend Reading (12/30/2011)

I walk alone....

Can you believe that it’s Friday already again? And even as great as Friday is it’s also New Year’s Eve weekend. This is the last Friday of 2011; they say time flies when you are having fun.  Now it’s time to reflect back on 2011 and look forward to 2012 and new things to come. We are going to make 2012 a great year.

Whether you spend this weekend reflecting on the past, or planning for the future, or partying it up and ringing in the New Year or like me getting a year older, we hope you will take time to read some of the great posts we have chosen for you. Here are just a few:

  • Are You Really Ready for 2012? – With 2012 just a short time away are you really ready for the New Year? Have you set your New Year’s resolutions? Are they ones you might actually keep this time or do you not even bother with them anymore? Be sure to check out Erin’s blog to see if you are really ready for 2012 and how you can be if you’re not?
  • Is It Time to Clean Up Your Tribe- When you make your New Year’s Resolution here is something to really think about. They say you are an average of the 5 people that you spend the most time with. Wow. Kinda scary huh? Take a look at those 5 and it might be time to choose your friends more wisely. Check out Annika’s blog to learn what your 5 say about you.
  • Put Your Feet Up and Relax- With all the hustle and bustle and rushing around preparing for the holidays, now that they are over it can be a real drag. You spend weeks even months, rushing around getting this and that, cooking, cleaning etc. and then poof it’s all over. If you are feeling worn down then you have to read Empowering Mums blog to learn why you have to put your feet up and RELAX!
  • No New Year’s Resolution- We have all heard how using social media can boost your marketing efforts and your business. But with so many platforms out there it may be hard to choose. If you are a business owner you must use LinkedIn. Don’t miss Freelance Weekly’s video on how to use LinkedIn to get massive exposure and leads.

That’s all for this week. All of us here at CVA wish you a great weekend and a very Happy and safe New Year’s. See you next week with more great posts. What are your New Year’s Resolutions? We’d love to hear about it!  Leave us a comment in the comments section. See you next week and be sure to visit Contemporary VA’s Stumble Upon Blog for even more featured posts.
