Delegate, Focus, and GROW Your Business

Featured Weekend Reading (02/10/2012)

My head had a sore feeling.

Woo hoo can you believe that Friday is finally here? And not a moment too soon either! We have all been working extra hard this week and it’s time for some relaxation. It’s supposed to be cold and snowy this weekend but don’t let old man winter ruin your plans. It’s time to get this weekend started.

Whether you are shoveling out from all the snow, or enjoying a snowball fight with the kids, we hope you will take time out to check out the great posts we have chosen for you this week. Here are just a few:

  • What happens if you fail?- Unfortunately life doesn’t always work out perfectly or the way we expect it to, things don’t always just fall in place. But the right things for you happen if you let them. The main thing is you have to put yourself out there and try. The difference between an idea and a great idea is courage.  Your business is like your horse, that horse will buck you off from time to time and throw curve balls your way. The important thing is that you get right back up on the horse and go again. Be sure to check out Your Next Level’s blog to learn more great tips about failure and results.
  • Maximize Your Time Now- Time management is something that most of us struggle with on a daily basis. Being moms complicates the problem even more. You end up hopping around from one task to another and often lose track of where we are and what needs to be done. Then there are those people that manage to get everything done and still have time to enjoy themselves. Do you want to be one of those people? Then be sure to check out Empowering Mum’s blog on ways to maximize your time.
  • Why You Should Ditch Your Blogging Schedule-We have all heard the rules to blogging for years, how you should set up a blogging schedule and stick to it. How being regular shows that you are dependable, reliable and consistent.  So you have religiously been posting like you should. After all you are doing the right thing, right? Well actually no, you could be doing more harm than you are good. Be sure to read James’ blog to learn why you should ditch your blogging schedule.
  • How to Get Your Groove Back-Here we are over a month into the New Year, are you back in your business groove? Or are you like many others and still struggling to get back on track? Keeping focused can be difficult tasks for business owners because you have so many things going on at once. Be sure to check out Erin’s blog some great ways to get your groove back.

That’s all for this week. All of us here at CVA wish you a great weekend. See you next week with more great posts. How much snow do you have in your area?   We’d love to hear about it!  Leave us a comment in the comments section. See you next week and be sure to visit Contemporary VA’s Stumble Upon Blog for even more featured posts.
