Delegate, Focus, and GROW Your Business

Feeling Over-Whelmed?!?!

Have you ever had so much on your “to do” list, that none of it ever actually gets done? Well, you’re NOT alone…

I have a client in the entertainment industry.  He and his staff provide various forms of entertainment for clients celebrating a special event such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday, Sweet 16, bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah. Entertainment can include DJs, laser light shows, video dance parties, video gaming stations, a photo booth, and even live entertainment like a band, orchestra or theme performers, all of which he books for the event himself. That in and of itself is a daunting task for one person to take on, but he and his staff also attend several large bridal shows throughout the year, and have a presence on bridal show websites.

With so many avenues open, there just weren’t enough hours in the day for my client to process new prospect information, maintain a relationship with existing prospects, and handle event bookings and client meetings. He came to The CVA Team with a desperate need for help.  From our first conversation, it was clear that his major source of angst was formulating an effective marketing strategy.

Prior to our initial conversation, I devised a couple of different ways we could approach this project and the identified services CVA could provide to streamline the process. That first conversation was lengthy, but necessary, and filled with a lot of questions much like a job interview. He needed to be sure that I was the right person to get his marketing project going in the right direction.  And I needed to know what strategies he had tried, how he currently markets, what marketing tool(s) is he currently uses and, most important, his marketing budget. At the conclusion of that call, it was clear that we were both on the same page as to how we would proceed.

After doing some research on the marketing tool that he was currently using, we discovered that there was a sales application available that would integrate perfectly with his current marketing application, thus keeping him well within his budget. With answers in hand, and a clear direction I was able to create the initial process document for his marketing campaign.  After getting a resounding “Yes, that’s exactly what I want!!” I was able to pass on the information to his assigned VA who put the project in motion.

We won’t have results on this campaign for a couple months, but I have a sense of satisfaction knowing that I started the project going in the right direction, and it is now in very capable hands.
