Top Highlights of Infusioncon 2012

It has been a couple months since Infusioncon 2012 and looking back on that week in Arizona, the feelings, enthusiasm and excitement is still with me.  There was so much great content and marketing information that by the end of the week, there wasn’t room for more ––in your brain or your suitcase!

I sat down to highlight things that made an impact on me at the conference:

  • Spring Software Release:  The excited buzz was already circulating that the release would happen at Infusioncon, but the announcement still sent waves of “Oooos” and “Ahhhs” through the attendees.
  • Keynote Speakers: Monday evening, Gary Vaynerchuk dominated the room the moment he walked out.  He’s known not only for his wine company and his savvy business knowledge, but also for his social media expertise. Gary lit up the stage talking about Infusionsoft and personal branding. Throughout the week great sessions abounded with speakers like Darcy Juarez, Geoffrey Moore, Ali Brown, and Chris Brogan. And, they are all Infusionsoft users.
  • Breakout Sessions:  Simply put: Content! Content! Content! Tim Ash spoke to many in attendance about landing page optimization. In today’s world, landing page testing is the best accelerator of your business available.  A bad landing page can prevent you from making as much money as you should.  Mike Corak shed more light on content creation and the importance of the evolution of storytelling.  With content being the core, focus should be on external linking, geo-targeted content, social media interaction, relevant keywords and unique copy and media.
  • Ultimate Marketer Contest:  Not only did we have the honor to hear from Jermaine Griggs, the reigning Ultimate Marketer 2011, we were thrilled to have one of our own clients be among the 25 Industry Innovators!   These entrepreneurs have done exceptionally well in taking their sales and marketing to the next level with Infusionsoft.  Then the big announcement came for the 2012 Ultimate Marketer.  The winner this year was Iron Tribe Fitness  (Jim Cavale). The company needed a way to manage leads, engage customers and keep retention high, plus, have a way to engage with the “outsiders,” the prospects from the Internet. Now with Infusionsoft, they control everything, every step of the way.

And if you had a question and needed an expert answer, there was a room just for that!  Ask The Experts was a very busy place. There you had table after table of Infusionsoft employees sitting one-on-one with customers, helping them with on-the-spot coaching, tech support, how-to’s and much more.  With over 1,500 in attendance, Infusionsoft not only had a conference but a team-building event.  I can’t wait to see what 2013 brings!
