There are over 140 million blogs on Tumblr, 63+ billion posts and over 125,000 new users signing up every day. Although certainly not as large as the top two social media sites, there are some very good reasons to add Tumblr to your social media marketing. Consider these aspects:

  • Content. While posts on Facebook and Twitter are fleeting in the SEO world, Tumblr posts have staying power. Tumblr blogs are public, which means that posts can be indexed on search engines and found by anyone looking for that topic.
  • Demographic. The Tumblr audience is greatly comprised of the 18-34 year old market, the consumers that many businesses want to hit. These are the consumers that could be your customers for many years to come.
  • Branding potential. If you have a consumer-based business, Tumblr is an excellent place to build your brand. The visual aspect of the site is perfect for branding, along with the ability to target audiences without the barriers that Facebook has or the limited text that Twitter offers.
