2016 Marketing Trends You Need to Know About

Going into 2016, you have the opportunity to get ahead of the competition with a marketing edge. Customers in 2016 will use every avenue available to search out the best deals, service and suppliers. For you, as a business, that means that you will need to re-evaluate how you market your propositions and services to both current and potential customers. This is your chance to shine and really propel your business to much greater heights.

1 – Industry authority positioning

In the past, Industry authority positioning meant going out and networking, passing out business cards and generally getting into the mix with the big players in your industry. In recent years, CEOs of large corporations have come out from behind the desk and have placed themselves in direct view of their customers. These CEOs are, effectively, establishing their place as influential players in the market. People buy from people, so it makes sense to let your customers know exactly who you are what you are all about.

2 – Social Media as a channel

You have probably been using social media since the first day that you launched your business. However, in 2016 you will need to make an important shift in how you use sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Social media, as a marketing strategy, is not enough to keep your customers engaged. So, rather than using your social media accounts as a standalone marketing tool, you should consider it as a marketing channel. Rather than isolating your social media tools, instead use them as a means to support your overall marketing campaigns.

3 – Streamline with a virtual assistant

In 2016, streamline your marketing campaigns by employing a virtual assistant. As a rising business, you can stretch your marketing budget much further by only paying for hours worked. The world of virtual assistants offers you a wide range of skills and talents, which you can utilize in running your marketing campaigns on social media, websites, over the phone and much more. You won’t have to worry about running out of money before your campaign shows results, as you can tightly control the budget and utilize the services of the virtual assistant in the most efficient way possible.

4 – Webinars that educate in industry

This approach will be twofold in 2016. Creating webinars that provide interesting, important or educational industry information will appeal to both customers and potential partners. These webinars can be implemented in conjunction with your websites, social media accounts, training and other marketing tools. A single webinar can potentially reach millions around the world, positioning you as an industry leader and significantly boosting your business.

You can really reach people and save more money doing webinars than an actual webinar. Because your won’t pay for stuff like venues and materials. All you need is laptop or computer, headset with mic and a webcam and you’re all set.
