A Checklist to Help You Rock Your Email Marketing

Many entrepreneurs who want to use email marketing to increase their business are simply lacking the time to implement this value lead-generating tool properly. Email marketing offers a variety of ways to help you build up your business and maintain open communication with your customers. Email marketing is also something that can be outsourced to a virtual assistant as long as they have clear instructions and a little guidance. The following is a Checklist to Help You Rock Your Email Marketing.

Have an eye catching subject line: When a discount or coupon is offered in the subject, the likelihood of it being open increases significantly. Try offering something for free, a big discount, or another line that will get their attention to open the email. A well-written subject line can make it far more likely that readers will open your email and consume your overall message.

Does your Content have Value: Before you have your VA create a newsletter for an email campaign, ask yourself…does this have value? Is it something that will answer a question, educate them or solve a problem? If it doesn’t have a clear benefit, don’t send it.

Branding: If your company has developed a branding practice prior to the start of your email marketing program, then advise your VA to keep your future emails consistent with that established branding. Use the same color pattern, voice and style of each email consistent while also including your company logo.

Keep it Simple, Sally: Direct your VA to create email messages that are short and to the point. Very few, if any, readers are going to read anything more than a paragraph or two of a marketing message so businesses have  a limited amount of time to grab their attention enough to keep them reading.

Call-to-Action: A Call to Action (also known as an Action Step) tells readers of your email message what they need to do (email, call, and use your contact page) and be sure and includes at least one with every e-newsletter.

Include Other Ways to Connect: Be sure and include social media links at the end of the email newsletter with a clear invitation to connect, like, follow and share.

Email marketing can be a key component to the success of any business and an excellent task to outsource to a qualified VA. By providing the above information, your service provider will be able to take the steps needed making an efficient and profitable email marketing campaign for your company.
