What Should Be Included in Your VA Work Agreement?

The work agreement you design for your Virtual Assistant (VA) is very important for you and for them. You will want to make sure that all the details of their role are covered, so that neither of you are left with assumptions. The clearer you can be, the better chance you have of having a long lasting and satisfying relationship with your VA. The following are some key pieces to include when writing up the details specific to your business.

Role Details. You will need to make clear what you are expecting your VA to do for you. What is their role and regular duties, as your VA? Use clear verbiage stating how they will assist you in your business.

Schedule. At CVA, we provide service Monday through Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM EST. Being transparent with what your needs are before you begin working with your VA can help direct us to connecting you with the right VA that best fits those needs.

Confidentiality. Your VA may be dealing with money, client names and privy company information. Our VAs are extremely attentive to this type of sensitive data and do not disclose any information regarding your company to anyone other than those you authorize.

Open Communication. This relationship will be most successful if all parties have open and meaningful communication. A true partnership consists of trading valuable ideas and guidance with one another. Whenever something may seem to be unclear, speak up! Talking it out will ensure everyone involved is on the same page and able to move forward.
