Giving Your VA Time Off Without Worry

Virtual Assistants (VAs), just like regular employees, have situations arise where they need to take time off. When this occurs, another member of our CVA team is called upon to fill the gap while the original VA is on leave. I recently had the opportunity to fill in for another VA who needed to begin her maternity leave earlier than expected.

In order to manage proper substitution for the regular VA on a client’s account, I took it upon myself to prepare far in advance for my co-worker’s maternity leave by studying the nature of the client’s business, where I learned that this client offers a service that is of great value to today’s families. I wanted to facilitate a quick and smooth transition, so I also reviewed the regular tasks that were handled by the original VA. After my assignment to assist the client began, I made sure to check in on a daily basis to go over my work plan, ensuring that my priorities were in sync with the client’s priorities. The client was very understanding and flexible regarding the unexpected change in plans and it didn’t take long for me to get up to speed and handle tasks with confidence, efficiency and speed.

I had the privilege of helping this client launch multiple campaigns simultaneously. These campaigns made use of many of my skillsets and were quite enjoyable to tackle. I worked within Infusionsoft to develop the email campaigns for each launch and created landing pages within LeadPages to promote and capture the new leads. We also created new WordPress pages for their website and wrote articles related to the campaigns so that all details were consistent for the launch.

Being able to partner with this client as a VA and project manager was extremely rewarding. It has been a privilege to assist them in accomplishing their goals and help out when needed by my CVA team.
