Keyword Research: Jaaxy vs Google

What is Keyword Research?

Keyword research involves using keywords to discover actual search terms that people enter into search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and so on, and researching how those keywords point people to what they are searching for online. Such data concerning search terms enables website builders and internet marketers to structure their site content strategy and marketing strategy to be more profitable.

For instance, if a marketer knows how often a search term is used, they can integrate that term into their site content in such a way that ranks their site higher in search engine results, thereby driving more searchers to their site. Keyword research is often delegated to virtual assistants who have knowledge and experience at such tasks. Tools to facilitate and simplify this process are an internet marketer’s best friend. While there are several available, we will narrow our discussion to just two: Google Keyword Planner and Jaaxy.

Google Keyword Planner

The most popular keyword research tool in the world is Google Keyword Planner. Of all keyword research worldwide, over 90% is performed using it. Because Google is the largest and most-used internet search engine, the most relevant and up-to-date search data comes from their site.

And yet, this popular tool is quite difficult to understand and use to its full potential, especially for those new to keyword research. For website owners and internet marketers, identifying the best-selling keywords that have the least competition is the real key to creating effective internet marketing strategies. To do so, information about keyword competition is vital. Google Keyword Planner gives no real details about keyword competition. Users are left to discover this data on their own, using the volume of data that is provided. And because this tool isn’t that user-friendly, most cannot find the gems hidden within all the sand.

Jaaxy Keyword Research

Jaaxy is a keyword research tool that sifts the most important and relevant data from Google’s databases and search results, and puts it all into a more accessible form. It is considered the number one keyword research tool available, and has been called by one review site “Keyword research on steroids.” In short, Jaaxy simplifies and collates Google’s keyword data into a more usable form.

Here are some Advantages of Jaaxy Keyword Research over Google Keyword Research

  1. Quoted Search Results (QSR) – This provides the number of competing web pages there are in Google searches for an exact search term. If this number is under 400 it means there is a good chance your content will be listed on the first search results page. If it’s under 200, your content is virtually guaranteed to be ranked on the first page.
  2. SEO Power of a Search Term – This is a score based on QSR, traffic, and competition rated on a scale of 1-100. The higher the score, the better the SEO power of the term.
  3. Site Rankings – Discover where your site ranks using the keywords you are currently researching.
  4. Competitor Site Rankings – Discover where competitor sites rank using the keywords you are currently researching.
  5. Site Traffic Estimator – Find search term results and get an estimate of the volume of traffic you could generate with the keywords you are researching by achieving a page 1 ranking on Google.
  6. Discover Relevant Domains – Site domain names with keywords add substantially to rankings in Google. This tool helps locate domains with high-ranking keywords if you are creating a new site.

The particulars of keyword research can be complicated, and the process is rather involved, but the results can mean the difference between 3 or 4 hits a week on your site vs. 300 or 400 a day, or more. And if you’re selling a product or service, that translates into big bucks. Therefore, utilizing the best tools available just makes great business sense.
