How Often Should You Blog?

Keeping up with a blog for your business is one of the easiest ways to connect with your customers, improve your search rankings, and is a great way for people to get to know more about your product and your company.

Although all of those things are great, blogging can take up a lot of your time. You want to make sure that you are writing about things that your customers will actually be interested in, and that your content doesn’t have spelling or grammatical errors. And as we all know, many of us don’t have the time to properly dedicate to doing this every single day. So, how often should you blog for it be effective?

You Don’t Need to Blog Every Day

If you have the time to dedicate to blog every single day (and have good material to write on to fill your posts), then more power to you. For the rest of us who don’t have the time to write a post a day, you still want to make sure that you have a good presence on your blog. This probably equals out to at least one post a week. Ideally, you should have about two to three really strong posts per week.

Don’t Overload Your Customers with Information

If you happen to be one of the rare unicorn bloggers out there who has both the material and the time to update a blog every single day, then you should really be sure that the posts aren’t too long and that you don’t end up tiring your customers or social media followers with too many updates.

Updating every single day is great, but make your posts short, relevant, and something that you think your customers and potential customers would enjoy. Simply typing out the same old sales pitch over and over again isn’t going to get you any more customers or get your existing customers to purchase new goods or services.
