3 Apps You Can Use to Get Organized at Work

How many times have you told yourself that you were really going to get organized this week? Organization is tough, and it requires constant maintenance. Whether your physical desk is cluttered or your online work calendar always seems to be a mess, it seems like there’s always one area of our lives that could use a bit of reorganization.

Luckily, there are many online tools and apps you can use to get organized at work. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite tools that you should implement in your work life as well as your personal life.

Trello

Back in the days of office yore, there were literal inboxes that filled with folders, which made it easier to literally visualize how much work you had that needed to be done. In the digital age, it’s hard to judge just how busy you are (or aren’t) because there’s no actual “pile” of work.

Trello is a collaborative tool that helps you organize your projects onto boards (although you can use it just for you). You can create lists, “cards” that can be moved from list to list with projects on them, and labels and due dates for the cards. Overall, it’s a great tool that can help you visualize projects and how much work there is left to do on them.

Tripit

If you have to travel a lot for work, Tripit may just be what your life was missing. This handy dandy app aggregates all of your travel plans (flight confirmations, hotel reservations, and restaurant reservations) and organizes it into one easy-to-read itinerary. Think of it as the personal assistant you never had.

Evernote

Evernote is an app that allows you to take notes, create task lists, and most importantly, collaborate with others. You can catalogue notes from meetings, ideas you have for future projects, and any other thoughts you might want to save for later. Never again will you have your notes in multiple different notebooks because everything will be saved and stored all in one digital place.

Can’t keep organized to save your life? It may be time to hire a virtual assistant who can help keep you on task, keep you organized, and make your life a lot easier by helping with everyday tasks like website management, social media, customer support, and so much more.
