Delegate, Focus, and GROW Your Business

What is a Telesummit and How Could it Help Your Business?

You’ve always dreamed of hosting your own conference. A conference is a great opportunity to not only network with your colleagues, but it’s also a good chance to learn and keep up with the goings on in your field. Hosting a conference, however, is a huge undertaking. You have to find a host city, secure a hotel, secure speakers, and figure out how to market the entire thing. This can take up a lot of time that you could be spending on other projects and growing your business.

A great way to get all the benefits of a conference without as much of the hassle is the perfect digital alternative of the telesummit. A telesummit is a series of teleseminars with a dozen or so speakers that is held over a period of time, usually several days. This is an excellent way to both establish your expertise, build your list, and create a recurring revenue stream.

So, how exactly does it help your business? How do you plan a telesummit? Who should you invite? Let’s go over the basics.

Telesummits Grow Your Audience Quickly

If you’re looking for a good way to boost the amount of eyeballs on your website, there’s not many better ways to do it than by hosting a telesummit. Telesummits are typically free to listen to for at least a certain period of time and they can add potentially hundreds of new subscribers and potential clients to your email list in a short period of time.

They’re also an opportunity for you to flex your muscles as an influencer within your niche and tout yourself as an expert—which is never a bad idea for growing your business.

Planning a Telesummit

To plan a telesummit, you’ll need to first determine what kind of format you want to do. (Should you host multiple interviews per day or do one per day for 10 days total?)

When you’re planning, you’ll also need to think about who in your field you’d like to speak and what you’d like them to talk about. You’ll need to ask people who are comfortable with this level of technology and comfort with recording. You’ll also, of course, need to make sure they are available for the dates of your telesummit.

Planning, Launching and Executing a telesummit takes a lot of time and effort. From ensuring that the proper programs are set up, to ensuring that the event(s) are recorded with ease. From negotiating speakers, to ensuring that your speakers provide the proper information prior to their event.

CVA can assist you with all these tasks and more to ensure that you execute a telesummit with organization and finesse.
