December Blog Ideas

Blog

The end of the year offers many interesting blog topic ideas to create traffic on your company website. You may want to up your blog game and post more often to keep up with each of the holidays and stay connected to your customer base during the busy season. If you don’t think you have the time, consider how hiring a virtual assistant during the holidays can help. Be sure to include bright color photos. Here are some ideas for blog topics for December.

  • Reflections of the year in review – What innovations or new accomplishments did your company introduce in the past year? Mention events, special customers and even charities served by your company that year. Remind them of your community service, and use it as a time to express gratitude for loyal customers and employees for the previous year.
  • Future Goals – Share exciting plans, upcoming hires, and highlight new services and programs being implemented in the upcoming year. It’s also a great time to announce your charity events and give “sneak peaks” into proposed projects or buildings.
  • End of year specials and events – Without sounding “salesy,” show your appreciation for loyal customers who read your blog by giving them a code to redeem for special pricing or an invitation to attend a holiday-themed Customer Appreciation event with fun activities, food and drink and perhaps a few door prizes.
  • Profiles of Star Employees  – Kill two birds with one stone; share some of the behind-the-scenes with your followers about the awesome work or customer service of some of your employees, while also rewarding those employees with recognition for their year of contribution.
  • Engage your followers, just for fun – Let your followers create your content by posting photos of their participation in your events. Other ways to engage are creating contests for the best photo of them using your product or service that year. These can be funny or holiday-themed.
  • Share stories – Ask your followers to share their funny holiday stories or perhaps how they volunteer during the holidays. Customers love to participate online, and this only helps them feel connected and loyal to your brand.
